You did it the hard way, lol. I simply recommend for people in this situation to simply buy 4 matched (good-used) amps for $60, put them in all at once, and forget about it. Of course the head unit is a breeze, as it can be out in 5 minutes...then swapped with a new (aftermarket) deck using a simple Bose system interface. Heck, even with the Bose head, the cassette is the main thing that goes out anyway...and who still uses that? So when that is the case, simply get an SD card player with RF and you are back in the game for $25, lol. But sure, if one wants a reason to buy all new equipment, simply use a failing part (or two) as the motivation.
